Comprehensive Range of Shishas and Accessories

The water pipe sector is booming. According to current surveys, five per cent of all Germans aged between 18 and 64 occasionally smoke a water pipe and the trend is increasing. All types of water pipes, in all shapes, colours and versions, can also be seen bubbling and smoking at InterTabac, the worldwide largest trade fair for tobacco products and smoking accessories. Trade visitors in 2019 will also again find a diverse range of water pipe tobacco and accessories like molasses catchers, adapters and charcoal baskets at InterTabac.

Dortmund (RU) – All major players and renowned companies in the international tobacco industry will assemble in the Ruhr Region in late summer and together with a huge number of other companies representing the entire industry will be guests at the worldwide largest tobacco trade fair at the Dortmund Exhibition Centre from 20 – 22 September 2019.

About 12,500 trade visitors will visit the trade fair pair, InterTabac and InterSupply, and be able to see 640 exhibitors from 57 countries that will showcase their numerous innovations and future trend products in the diverse segments of the huge world of smoking and tobacco. Water pipes will also be prominently represented in the 40,000 square metres of exhibition space: almost two entire halls are reserved for the trendy topic.

Product range has increased by about 50 per cent since 2013
Sabine Loos, CEO of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe GmbH, said: “As a trendy type of relaxation, the water pipe is becoming increasingly popular. That is also reflected by the number and country of origin of the companies represented at InterTabac. We are pleased that the product range of water pipes, tobacco and accessories showcased at InterTabac has increased by more than 50 per cent since 2013. We are also enormously satisfied overall: InterTabac is completely booked out and the number of exhibitors exceeds 500 again this year. They therefore occupy a total of nine halls.“ The exhibitors include not only German companies like the Amy Group (Dabes) or the first-time exhibitors Titanium Tobacco & Sama Shishas Pharaon Art but also numerous foreign companies like Adalya Tobacco from Turkey, Al Fakher Tobacco Factory from the United Arab Emirates and the first-time exhibitor Ararat Middle East Tobacco from Dubai, to name just a few. Their products supplement the huge range of water pipes, tobacco and accessories.

The new service packages that make InterTabac even more attractive have contributed to the high number of exhibitors and visitors. They can, for example, book exclusive hotel packages for the first time this year at and thus save the often lengthy time spent on hotel room searches.

Travel services have also been improved because exhibitors and visitors can use a new shuttle service between Dusseldorf Airport and the Dortmund Exhibition Centre. Tickets can be obtained in advance at the online ticket shop of the Exhibition Centre.

Travel from other local airports has also remained easy because of the convenient bus and train service to the Exhibition Centre. There is also a regular AirportExpress shuttle service between Dortmund Airport and the Dortmund Exhibition Centre.

The exhibitors also benefit from the architectural redesign of the exhibition halls. After an intensive construction phase, InterTabac visitors can use the completed North Entrance that leads to a light-flooded passageway which optimally connects the exhibition halls. That allows a perfect connection of all topic areas so that visitors can easily find their way to the stands they want to visit.
